Brenda received her Honours Bachelor of Music at the University of Western Ontario in London and her Bachelor of Education at Queen's University in Kingston. Brenda is an Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Toronto in Piano.

She is an experienced band, string and choral director and teacher who taught both high school and elementary music for 30 years, in the Wentworth, Toronto, Halton and Peel school boards.

She enjoys teaching and conducting the Kerr Street Concert Band in her retirement.
